Over the years, he's had cuts and wild success with country legends Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw, among others. As a dad of three, we touch on how fatherhood has influenced his music career and what it's like being on the road away from family. Lee talks about how COVID threw him for a loop but instead of seeing that time as a break, he never stopped working. Daily Drills
Best friend-duo behind the crowd-pleasing fashion label Daily Drills. How Mary Ralph and Kennedy reached 1 million in sales their first year, during the pandemic.
Daily Drills is the new lifestyle destination for transitional pieces that effortlessly move you through every moment in style. In 2020, amidst a global pandemic, best friends and entrepreneurial spirits Kennedy Crichlow (Kenn) and Mary Ralph Lawson (Ralph), spotted a niche space in the ever-growing leisure industry. Their mission: simplifying getting dressed and blurring the lines between workout-wear, lounge-wear, business-wear, and everything in between.
Daily Drill was built with mottos like, “Say YES often, but say not enough to make your yes’s count,” “Happy DOES,” and “Data is great, but so are your Instincts,” in mind. What started in Mary Ralph’s apartment has now evolved into a fashion label that has never had to pay influencers to promote, organically got featured in US Weekly, hit 1M in sales within their first year, and now has an HQ and team out of Los Angeles.
We cover so many important topics like:
• How to be best friends and business partners
• How to say yes more often (but say no enough to make your yes count)

Meredith Lile
From panic attacks to floating her anxiety away. Literally!
So I have been on a big physical and mental wellness journey. I’m so tired of having anxiety, and I have been seeking out cures. One of those remedies is FLOATING. Yep, you heard me right, floating. I have linked up with PURE SWEAT AND FLOAT STUDIO in Brentwood and the relief is truly instant. Pairing floating w the ultra healing infrared saunas, has helped me target all of this within my own body :
• Detoxification
• Weight loss
• Lower Blood Pressure
• Relaxation
• Pain Relief
• Cell Health
• Immunity
• Wound Healing
• Anti-Aging
• Improved Circulation
Because of my incredible results, I had to interview the owner, Meredith, and get the nitty gritty details of how she started this studio, ALL the benefits, and why mental and physical health is something we all should be prioritizing. Years ago, during Meredith’s divorce, she found herself having panic attacks. She started seeking alternative treatment for them, and stumbled upon floating. Within a few floats and saunas, her panic attacks had vanished and clarity and peace and returned. She was so impacted and amazed by her results she started her own studio to help stress natural healing for physical and mental wellness. We get into her journey to wellness and how her life has blossomed through healing.

Scout Sobel
The Emotional Entrepreneur!
Scout experienced her first depressive episode at the age of 14 and was formally diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 20. Living with a mental illness brought an onslaught of symptoms: anxiety, hypomania, depression, catatonia, psychosis, and suicidal ideation. Her perception of her life weighed down on her so poignantly that she dropped out of college, could not hold a job or internship, was hospitalized, experimented with medleys of prescription medication, and went through two outpatient programs.
One day her husband (then boyfriend) looked at her lovingly and said, “I don’t care if you’re depressed. If you are depressed and hopeful, I can be in this relationship. If you are depressed and hopeless, I can’t do this with you.”
That was the moment her life changed. She started infusing her life with hope and began to take radical responsibility for her emotional state. And after intense self-development work - support groups, holistic healing modalities, prayer, routines, and physical wellness, she found entrepreneurship. Through entrepreneurship, she learned to unconditionally love her life through the pain, challenges, and celebrations. She learned that she wanted to be here.
Today, Scout is the Founder and CEO of Scout's Agency, a female-focused PR agency that specializes in getting women as guests on podcasts. Over the last two years, the agency has served women like Catt Sadler, Kelley Baker, Jessica Zweig, Damona Hoffman, Lauren McGoodwin, Bala, Kelley Baker, and Rebecca Minkoff. Scout led the agency to a six figure revenue in its first year (2019) with a 250% growth in 2020. She is also the co-host of Okay Sis, a top-charted podcast most recently highlighted in Apple's New & Noteworthy collection, with her sister Mady where she openly documents her experience living with bipolar disorder.
And now that she has gotten to a place where she feels safe in her emotions and is not able to only function in society but thrive as an entrepreneur, she is putting all of her emotional tools, learnings, and wisdom into her debut book, The Emotional Entrepreneur, a 25 lesson emotional guidebook for women who want to pursue a life of purpose. These are the personal development tools she has garnered up to manage her mental illness but what surprised her the most is that she realized her mental health tools also became her superpower in business.

Love + One
Mother-Daughter Duo changing lives in Uganda, including Lauren and Thomas Rhett.
This duo made up of Mother, Suzanne, and daughter Grace, tell me what it’s like to dive headfirst into starting Love + One International, a 501(c)3 non-profit, providing access to life-saving medical care and rehabilitative services to children and families in Uganda. They share the trials they have faced, how the only road map they have followed has been God’s open doors and the conviction in their hearts.
When Mike and Suzanne Mayernick, parents of eight, adopted their daughter JosieLove from Uganda in 2009, they had no idea how much her life would change the direction of their own lives.
JosieLove, just three years old, had malaria, tuberculosis and was HIV positive – but after just a few months of receiving the love, attention, and medical care she needed, she blossomed into a healthy child. Watching JosieLove’s transformation sparked a fire inside their family to commit to nurturing other sick children through love and proper medical care in order to help them thrive, so Suzanne and her eldest daughter Grace founded Love + One International. You wanna hear this episode. It’s life-changing on how to answer God’s call on your heart and the life-giving rewards of love received when you do.
Josh Wolf
America’s Funniest Comedian!
I’ll be honest, I don’t like a lot of comedians. I hate humor at others expense and I don’t like really dirty humor at all. It makes me cringe. But Josh is really funny, to me, and to millions. He has a way of turning everyday troubles into something really silly to laugh about. He takes the sting out of living through his comedy routines bc he’s so hilarious about displaying how humans are all completely bat shit, so you might as well have a chuckle about it. He also has major soul and cares about leaving people better than he found them. This interview could have lasted all day bc we just were rolling and cracking up, breaking down life to the core. Josh talks about the cut throat climb to the top of the comedy world while being a single dad to 3, finding love and owning his lane, and how an encounter with a homeless person on the street holding 2 tacos changed his entire life perspective.
Holly Christine Hayes
Founder of Sanctuary Project, employing survivors of trafficking, violence, and addiction.
This interview was super emotionally intense and real. Holly is a survivor of human trafficking, abuse, and addiction. When she hit rock bottom, she found herself homeless and crying out on the floor of a public bathroom. She got real with me about when her childhood abuse began, and how that affected so much of her life thereafter. She talked about signs to look for with your children and why it’s so important to pay attention to changes in your child’s behavior. She then walked me through her journey into trafficking. I didn’t realize that most women become trafficked through a boyfriend or someone close to them. Now she is truly thriving in life. She is a force of light and goodness. Holly is the Founder/CEO of a company helping other women break out of the dark cycle. Sanctuary Project is a survivor-run nonprofit jewelry enterprise, based in Austin, that provides meaningful employment and job training to women who have survived trafficking, violence, and addiction. The jewelry is stunning and carried in Target! Holly is now a wife, mom author, and speaker. She and I spent the most magical day together with our families after our interview; I am blessed to know Holly and anyone who listens to this episode will be blessed by her story!
The Dryes
Husband/Wife duo using the pain of their past and hope for their future to inspire us to trust in the bigger plan.
Derek Drye was 30 years old when he remembers hearing his mother's voice for the very first time. “I found these videotapes of my mom that I didn't know existed," the North Carolina native quietly tells PEOPLE about the memories he discovered back in 2018 of his late mother, who died by suicide when he was just a baby. "I had seen pictures and stuff, but I had never heard that Carolina drawl that she had, until I pressed play." Their song “War” was born from that heartache and the music video features the only footage Derek has ever seen of his mom. Powerful. Derek told me that writing “War” was very healing for him and his family, bc where words often fail, music can heal. That’s what the Dryes do... they use the pain and experiences and dreams of their life and write music that gets in your soul and moves it. Their new song “Whites Creek” is about finding God in their dream home. The crazy thing is, they hadn’t even bought this house when they wrote the song, they just knew they were going to plant their roots and build their family in whites creek in this future house. The Dryes are vessels for God and use their music and life to spread His glory, even in their darkest moments. This episode will leave you inspired and will remind you how God truly makes His message out of every mess and heartache we experience if you let Him in.

Julie Hays
News Anchor of my hometown, Waco, Texas.
Julie is an inspiration. She is incredibly beautiful and driven. She tells me about her journey to anchoring KWTX, the news source for Waco, Texas. What really stood out to me in this interview was that Julie is never afraid of being told “no.” She tells me all sorts of amazing stories of how her hustle, determination and belief in herself are what really made opportunities come to life for her, including how she landed an in person interview with George W. Bush in the White House during his final weeks in office. She walks me through how she handles her nerves and trusts her instincts and why she isn’t afraid to let herself feel the stories she covers, but also how she uses her platform to help the community she serves. We also talk about how motherhood has redefined what success really looks like and how she finds balance with so many plates in the air.
Lauren Alaina
Rocketing to fame on American Idol, #1 songs, and managing the pressure of stardom. Plus, she shares breaking news with me!
This is a spectacular conversation with Lauren. She starts by BREAKING BIG NEWS WITH ME (yes, she told me first, and it’s so exciting :), then we run through her life and journey... How she got to American Idol, which led her to her incredible Country Music Career with multiple number 1 songs, Dancing with the Stars, and tons of accolades.. Then we deep dive. She shares with me the struggles of fame, especially as a teen and the cruel attacks people made on her and her body. Those painful comments led her to intense body image struggles and bulimia. We connect over this bc I also struggled with bulimia and body image in my younger years. Lauren explains why she finally got honest about it, and how she decided to stop playing perfect and be true to herself and the freedom that has come with that. Lauren’s beauty and talent are breathtaking. But the way she shares her full heart and soul and story, the struggles and the glory, is the kind of role model that young girls all around the world are so desperately needing to see. Lauren is a light that I wish I had known when I was finding my way as a young girl. I have so much respect, admiration and love for Lauren. I can’t wait for you to hear this candid conversation with a true angel and blessing to this earth.

Kristen Brust
Since the moment we met on my hubby’s tour bus it was love at first friendship. I met Kristen the day she moved to Nashville. She was working for my hubby’s record label and we met on Michael’s bus before a show... It was friendship love at first sight. Kristen is a force. She loves BIG and HARD. She wears her soul on her sleeve and she isn’t scared to be raw and real and really share and bare it. Connecting with others and realizing we are not alone in this life is her mission statement. On this episode we talk a longggg time about the power of manifesting and her tips for getting your mind right. We talk about marriage. She tells me about the dance parties she and Preston (LoCash) have every night with their kids and how they have had to learn the new normal of him being home all the time since touring shut down due to Corona. We talk about loss. She miscarried in between her 2 kids and the ache and love for that child is so strong. I also relate to that ache. We talk about her podcast “In Kristen We Brust,” and why she started it, and what it’s all about. Meg Schwarzrock
This manifesting mama and I met over Instagram and became instant soul sisters + had a whirlwind spiritual convo where she answered all of my hard life questions. Meg really does rock. We met on Instagram and really connected just recently when I was posting about having a sty on my eye. So many people wrote in and told me remedies to try, but Meg told me how to look inward and heal from within myself. I know, a lot of people think that kind of talk is crazy, but I don’t. I believe that we all are a force field from God and have so much to offer this world, including the ability heal ourselves and others. We just have to uncover the truth. Meg dives in SO DEEP to questions that have been wrecking me like “why are we here, why do we suffer, understanding what our physical ailments mean, how she parents using this inner knowledge and soooo much more. This episode is AMAZING! Meg is a manifesting coach and has so much amazing wisdom to offer. Follow her on insta for daily inspiration @themegrock and check out her website at https://www.manifestingmarge.com
Lori Paranjape
Top interior designer walks me through her fantastical mind and explains how she turns her extraordinary visions into people’s homes. Lori said something to me that I never would have known to think of when it comes to designing a house, and I’ll never forget it. She said “ I’m OBSESSED w the walk from the garage to the kitchen island, bc a woman does that countless times in a day. By the time she gets to the island I want her to be hands free.” Woah. Mind blown. How does someone even know how to think that thought? But that’s Lori. Not only is her style and design classic yet bold, traditional yet wild and modern leaving you breathless, she is all about function and comfort first. Throughout the interview she said multiple times “if it’s not comfortable and functional then I’m not doing it.” Lori tells me all about the responsibility of designing top of the line houses and how trust is the most important factor. She also breaks down her life principals and values. Lori is so advanced when it comes to how she thinks and acts in the world. She is level headed and a thought leader for sure. She also is insanely hilarious. I had more fun on this interview getting to know Lori. I know you will love this one.
Becca Stevens
Priest, Author, and Founder of Thistle Farms, an organization providing a sanctuary and healing for women survivors of prostitution, trafficking and addiction.
Becca Stevens is one of the women I look up to the most in this world. She is an Episcopalian Priest, she has written a dozen books, she is a mother of 3 grown outstanding young talented men, a wife to Marcus Hummon who is one of the most profound hit songwriters in town, she is a survivor of abuse and a safe haven for women who need healing and refuge. In this episode I broke down in tears several times bc I am so overwhelmed with all of the suffering in the world right now, especially children suffering. I think I broke down bc Becca is that holy, safe place that I knew would hold my sadness and fear, yet also guide me back to God. After the interview I couldn’t stop thinking about how much she serves those in need and suffering. I kept wondering “how does she hold all of this suffering for everyone and stay so light?” I am so burdened by sad news and it often time all-consumes me. Becca blesses all those she comes in contact with, speaks healing into their life, and turns something that feels destroyed into God’s glory. She has seen so much pain, yet she never loses faith and her love for God. Instead, she sees the beauty in life and freely expresses her sacred feelings. Lately she has been sharing her rants about life. They have deeply moved me and given me the confidence to share my own rants. This episode is a gift. Becca is a gift.
Drake and Alex White
Country Artist and his earth angel wife talk about Drake’s debilitating brain condition that almost left him dead after a stroke on stage and their intimate encounters with God.
Last year Drake was in the middle of a set, when he had a stroke and collapsed on stage. He was rushed to the nearest hospital where doctors frantically worked to stop his brain from bleeding. He has a condition called AVM.
The condition is caused when an abnormal web of arteries and veins in the brain prevent normal blood flow. He was in the middle of on-going treatments when his brain hemorrhaged. In this interview, Drake and Alex relive the night of his accident and all the miracles along the way that truly saved his life. They talk about his healing process and how God has been so present every step of the way. Drake and Alex are a couple that is changing the world with their faith. And they aren’t those kind of people that force God and their beliefs on you. They are the kind of people who rock the world by their actions. In the midst of the scariest, hardest time in their lives and marriage, they turned to God and let Him guide them fully. They are a testament to talking the talk and walking the walk. If you were ever doubting if there is a God, listen to this episode and know for sure God is real. That is the message Drake and Alex want to share with the world through their story.
Kim Johnson
Talks about her beautiful childhood growing up on a military base with children of every race and color, and never experiencing racism in her youth. Kim is one of the kindest, most empathetic people I have had the pleasure of being friends with now for almost a decade. She has deep faith. She is fiercely loved by her family and friends and she fiercely loves them back, HARD. Her mother and father taught her good values and had her and her 2 older brothers in church at least 3 times a week and shared family meals daily. And her mother is a prayer warrior who believes in glory. Kim is smart. She is a veterinarian. We met at Barry’s Boot camp almost a decade ago and bonded over our love of intense working out (a past life to me now haha). This convo is so inspiring. Kim shares how her childhood was truly the dream and goal for us all as humanity. All walks of life, every race and color, loving together with respect and harmony on a military base. What a world to live in! Kim tells me how she has recently felt fear just for being black. She is a traveling vet and is in Utah for an extended time working at a clinic. But bc of COVID, she has to walk to patients cars that don’t recognize her or know she’s their vet. She said it has been the most difficult thing she has ever experienced seeing people respond with fear to her just bc she is a black woman they don’t know approaching them. This episode offers so much love and insight and we share some fun laughs about our love of tequila and wine.
Gay Gaddis
Founder. Author. Artist. Trailblazer.
Gay Gaddis is a very close family friend. She has literally watched me grow up. Her son Ben introduced my sister to her husband. Now that I am a grown woman, I have had the chance to really understand what a badass Gay is. She started T3, the largest owned female owned digital marketing agency in the country, based out of Austin Texas. She is self made and overcame many obstacles in a man’s world, but always learned how to work smarter, more thoughtful and outside of the box. As an employer of many women, and a mother herself, she quickly realized being a parent should not stop you from being a successful working professional. So she created UNDER, a program that allowed parents to bring their kids to work. That’s the thing with Gay. She doesn’t view family and work as 2 separate entities, and she also doesn’t subscribe to the old ways, she blazes new trails to amplify the workspace for everyone. She wants her employees to be fulfilled and she takes the time to find their strengths. If she hires someone for one reason but realizes they work better on another team, she pays attention and moves them to where they thrive. She is also an artist, painting many Texas landscapes, an author of COWGIRL POWER, a book written to help women develop personal power and lead like fearless cowgirls, a public motivational speaker including Ted Talks, and a rancher. Gay offers so much wisdom to women especially about how to persevere, find your way, and thrive in big industry.
Mickey Guyton & Amara Hall
A candid conversation about racism with country music artist Mickey Guyton and vibe queen Amara Hall. Mickey and I grew up in the same hometown of Waco Texas. We actually played basketball against each other in grade school. It’s very nerve racking for me to have real conversations about race as a white woman with two of my black friends. To be honest, I have avoided topics of race my whole life bc I’m scared I will say something wrong. But the point is to start talking and to be a part of the change. Amara and Mickey talk about being black females in the country music industry, how much love they have for this community, and their dreams for genre. Mickey explains the story behind her powerful new single “Black Like Me.”
Kathy Thomas
Founder of the first all women co-working space in Nashville, Collective 615. Kathy grew up the baby of 6 kids to an abusive father who controlled her mother’s very move. It shaped her into knowing she would never let herself rely on a man and would always be able to stand on “her own two feet.” That led her to climbing the ladder in the corporate world where she became very successful. But when her father passed she realized she wanted more for her life than just career and financial success. She wanted love and a family and a career that fueled her passion. So she quit corporate and started her photography business. She met Rob soon after and they had precious Stella. When they moved to Nashville for Rob’s job, Kathy quickly realized there was no co-workspace for women. She leveraged everything they had and opened Collective 615. Kathy shares with me how she walks through fear, choosing to stay and love your marriage, the important lessons she’s learned from parenthood, and why she has been blessed by quarantine.
Sarah Buxton
Hit songwriter talks about her artist journey, learning to love Taylor Swift (it’s nothing personal!), and what she’s learned from marriage and motherhood. Sarah is a wild spirit. She feels like an Indian Paintbrush blowing in the wind. Beautiful. Colorful. Wild. Passionate. She moves from the soul. She can’t be tamed yet she’s super grounded. She’s one of the best vocalists and artists the town of Nashville has ever seen. She’s also written hits like “Stupid Boy” for Keith Urban and “Dayum Baby” for Florida Georgia Line. Sarah and I get so intimate on this episode. We talk about the bidding war that multiple labels had over her to sign her a decade ago, and how frustrating it was to never have one of her artist singles take off at radio when she knew that music was her destiny. But we also talk about the peace she feels in her life right now. She understands the magic and mystery of life and completely embraces it. She’s on the ride of life at full speed and she is in it to win it while enjoying the view. Tune in now to have your soul rocked.
Lauren Popoff
Lauren is the wife of Jeremy Popoff from hit band LIT. She is one of the most fun, energetic, beautiful people I know. She never holds onto grudges. She always finds the light and the good time, no matter how dark a situation can be. If there’s a gathering of friends (pre-corona), Lauren will be the one to crank up the jams and start a dance party. I consider that one of her most spectacular gifts. Some people hold onto what’s wrong with the world and their lives, others hold onto what’s right with the world and their lives. Lauren holds onto what’s right. We talk about her amazing relationship with her stepson Jake and Jeremy’s ex-wife Michelle; they all love each other and respect each other so much, they share every holiday together. We talk about how she coped with losing her father, what she’s learned from growing her thriving business with MONET (amazing natural hair products), how Jeremy pulled off a surprise wedding for her and what road life is like with him, plus why fear doesn’t run her show.

This week I zoom interview w my bestie Bri Lundeen. We are very close friends and have shared tons of memories together from her dressing as Dolly Parton on Halloween and getting kicked out of ACME downtown (it’s not what you think but it’s epic!) and now raising baby girls together. Bri and I both struggle w anxiety so we talk about tricks to help ease that. We talk about our experience as first time moms, why we need our friends, everything you must know but they don’t tell you about labor.... it’s so good. Marley Sherwood
Marley is a knockout. She is a badass host on CMT, full of knowledge and charm. She has a great no drama-let-it-go mentality for life that truly makes her a joy and pleasure to be around. And she can drink beer like the boys. Basically she’s a perfect 10. Mid-Week Mom & Dad Chat:Willie Powers
I interview my bro-in-law in this episode. He grew up 1 of 6 siblings and talks about his ranch-living mentality, why he chooses happiness everyday, and how marriage and fatherhood has changed him for the better. He and I have become true siblings and he’s watched me grow up the past 14 years through guy drama, breakdowns, and everything in between. We laugh HARD about funny stories and travels we have experienced together from Running with the Bulls in Spain, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, The Milford Track in New Zealand. Willie is such a happy guy with a great perspective.
Stevie Frasure
Stevie is everybody’s best friend. Or at least everybody wants to be her best friend. Her smile and laugh are infectious. Then she drops her sense of humor and good time on you, and you can’t be anything short of glamoured by her spirit. Stevie talks to me openly about how life has been amazing and awful at the same time. While in the middle of battling breast cancer, her husband won songwriter of the year. While feeling her worst, she and her husband’s publishing company, Rhythm House (under Jay-Z’s Entertainment Company), started thriving and bringing in multiple #1 hits. Stevie also goes into vivid detail about the time she met Beyoncé at the company Christmas party and talked to her after multiple tequilas... they basically are best friends now lol! What I love about Stevie is her honesty and humor about life. She knows how to take things in stride. She’s not scared of dealing with the truth. She also knows how to really have fun and enjoy life no matter what season or struggle she may be facing, she finds the laughter and light!
Tayla Lynn Finger
Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter talks sex, music and growth. Tayla is my sister. We were in a band together, Stealing Angels, for about 7 years. We lived together, toured together, loved together, fought together, grew up together. Tayla has been such a great teacher in my life. She is the one who really showed me how to unapologetically be and love myself, because that’s what she does. She has recovered from drug addiction, abuse, trauma, divorce and so much more. We talk about it all openly here. We could feel the Holy Spirit in the room. Tayla also is the most ALIVE human I know. She feels and expresses life in every aspect of her being, she doesn’t hold back from singing, performing, speaking God’s word and being a ball of firecracker energy at all times. She’s one of a kind and I’m blessed to call her family.

Mary Reames Rinehart
We chat about how she and her college sweetheart Bear (front man of Need to Breathe and Wilder Woods) have journeyed through life, love, children, and the ups and downs of fame. Mary is stunning. You see her and she takes your breath away, literally. Then you talk to her and you realize her heart is so pure and kind. I loved this conversation bc Mary Reames is so transparent about every different chapter of her life and evolution w Bear. They met and married in their early 20’s at college when they had no careers yet, and were living on young love and dreams. Now after being together over 15 years, with 2 precious young sons, she and Bear have grown up together, navigated fame, weathered storms, and grown stronger than ever.

Because of Paula I am greatly able to reduce my anxiety of being a new mother and know what Sunny needs. By 2 months old Sunny started sleeping through the night 7:30-7 and waking up happy and smiley because of Paula’s coaching. Olivia Caridi
How being left in the rain on Ben Higgin’s season of The Bachelor, turned out to be a great blessing in disguise to self discovery. Olivia is gorgeous. She is also quick and witty, making her a perfect 10 to be cast on the romantic roller coaster ride of a show THE BACHELOR. During her season she was framed as the “villain,” even though that’s as far from the truth as can be. Jessie James Decker
Jessie has never been one to quit because someone told her no, or didn’t believe in her. Instead she comes back stronger and better. After being rejected countless times from country music record labels then being signed and released from several major pop labels, Jessie has become a force all on her own, completely independent and doing it her way. That’s Jessie. Fearless, talented, driven, and full of heart. She now has a booming clothing empire with her brand Kittenish, a best selling book with another on the way, she is selling out music venues with thousands of fans all by herself, and she still makes being a mama a wife her top priority. Jessie is the example of what a modern day woman can be: a mogul, mother, wife and friend while looking like a million bucks.
Kaitlyn Bristowe
Kaitlyn was one of the Top 3 contestants on Chris Soules season 19 of The Bachelor. She then went on to be the Bachelorette on Season 11. This little lady does it all!

Chrissy Ballard
Wife to country singer Frankie Ballard. Chrissy grew up in her parents retail and shoe stores. From an early age she knew she had a creative spark. She quickly landed the lead role in a Blake Shelton music video and knew she had to pursue acting. After moving to LA, she was cast in another Country Music Star’s Video, Frankie Ballard’s “A Buncha Girls.” But this video was different. From the second Frankie and Chrissy met, sparks flew. 2 weeks later he flew her out for their first date to meet him on the road and watch him play shows. After that they were inseparable. Chrissy realized that acting was no longer her dream, and she wanted to leave LA to be with Frankie in Nashville. But she didn’t want to lose her creative outlet, so she prayed to God for a new dream. And woah, did God answer. Chrissy went back to her family roots of loving shoes and retail and created a Boot Empire named OLD SMOKEYS BOOTS where she has celebrity clients from Lucy Hale to Miranda Lambert. She gets old vintage boots and leather and makes super-funky-cool-one-of-a-kind cowboy boots, belts and purses. Chrissy also talks the secrets to her fruitful/spiritual marriage with Frankie, dealing with the grief of suddenly losing her father, and what a successful life looks like to her.
Becky Sweet
Life with Little Big Town. Rebecca and Phillip Sweet truly into their last name. They are the sweetest people on earth. Rebecca tells me about how fun it is being married to Phillip (one of the members of superstar band Little Big Town), a constant dreamer and optimist, and part of the Little Big Town Family. We talk life on the road raising babies (they had their newborn on the bus at 9 days old!), her epic fall on the red carpet, dealing with women flashing her hubs, plus a trick she made up to overcome the comparison game. She also shares about the early struggle days of Little Big Town, and how they never lost hope or gave up even after 4 record deals, and why she loves that their daughter is a daddy’s girl.
Tatiana Houser
I loved getting real with Tatiana Houser. We started the conversation off with her life in Australia where she played golf and rode horses competitively. She still rides horses and says that riding allows a part of her to come alive and be herself that nothing else does. We then get really personal and talk about a time when Tatiana felt out of control with her diet, body, self esteem, and past relationship. She opens up about how she moved through that painful period to become a holistic health coach where she really learned to love taking care of herself, physically and emotionally and spreading this knowledge to others. One of my favorite parts of the interview is where Tatiana tells her love story with Randy Houser. They met and fell in love instantly. Randy is best friends with Tatiana’s sisters Natalia husband, hit songwriter Dallas Davidson, so they met through them. Within weeks Tatiana was moving over to the United States from Australia and planning her life with Randy. They are now married with a baby boy on the way. Her story is nothing short of beautiful and inspiring!
Kelly Lynn Janson
I have loved this little firecracker for over a decade. I met Kelly when I was in college at Belmont, and we became fast friends. At that time she was a single mom of 2 amazing kids, an A&R consultant, hosting a TV show, making furniture, and basically a powerhouse machine doing it all with THE MOST optimistic attitude. That's Kelly. Life never gets her down, and you won't find her whining that it's not fair. She always sees the glass half full, and is not afraid to work hard and get her hands dirty. She also is never afraid of being told NO. She will always find a way, and I admire that so much about her. She tells me her amazing love story with Chris Janson... How he knew he loved her instantly; how he was thrilled and honored to get to be a step dad to her kids, and even asked them for permission to marry Kelly. Kelly now goes on the road pretty much full time with Chris, manages him, is a Publisher (has a co-venture with Warner-Chapel), is a songwriter and also has 2 more precious kids with Chris. We talk about the moment Chris was inducted into The Grand Old Opry as the youngest living member and what a day in the life of the Janson household looks like.... Hint hint, it's NEVER boring!
Kailey Dickerson
Kailey is such a ray of light. She has faith that can move mountains. I love our conversations, and hearing how she talks to God and trusts in Him so completely. That goes for her husband too, Russell Dickerson. We talk about the long journey it has been for Russell to finally find the success in Country Music that they both knew he was destined for. What I love is they never doubted that God would open the doors. We talk about Russell's 100% optimistic attitude and constant amazement for life, like Buddy the Elf. Kailey shares how incredible it feels to be one of the few female video directors in Nashville (she has gotten two #1 videos on CMT for "Yours" and "Blue Tacoma"). And we talk about secrets to a happy marriage and happy life, including sex everyday, walks in the morning, and truly taking the time to SEE people and KNOW people!
Caroline Bryan
I discovered Caroline Bryan’s Instagram page last year and my life was changed forever. Not only is Caroline a total bombshell, she is the funniest prankster I have ever witnessed. Over Christmas, Caroline did “the 12 days of pranks” where she hid in a life size teddy bear and scared every family member and friend walking by, put fingernail polish on a bar of soap only to hear Luke wonder why it’s not lathering up lol, plus many more pranks involving snakes, fog horns and fart machines. She also has a sidekick, LeClaire, Luke’s mother-in-law. Luke definitely got his dance moves from his mother, bc she can cut a rug! The Bryan Family is so much fun and so inspiring. They know how to enjoy life and find joy in everyday. Caroline and I chat about her love story with Luke and how they met in college. We also talk about how she and Luke have survived tragedy. Luke lost both his siblings and brother-in-law, and took in their 3 children: a son who was in high school and 2 college age daughters to live with them and their 2 sons Bo and Tate. Caroline and Luke also started a charity, Brett’s Barn, with Caroline’s brother and sister-in-law, in honor of her brother’s daughter Brett who died at a very young age. Brett’s Barn opens its doors to sick and disabled children to come pet and love on the animals. It’s a true sanctuary. Caroline has a heart of gold and uses her life to spread love and healing and laughs. She is such an example of faith. It was amazing to hear her story with Luke and see how they have such an incredible marriage and life in the midst of the wild world of the music industry and personal heartbreak.

Ria Safford
RiOraganzer of the Stars (Paris Hilton & Chrissy Teigen!)
It all started 10 hours after she gave birth to her son when an inquiry from Jen Atkin (top celebrity hair stylist) came through. Knowing this project would change her career, Ria didn’t think twice with her instant reply - “When do you need me?” She was right. Organizing Jen Atkin’s closet in 2019 did blow her business up. Today, Ria has worked with top-celebrity clients such as Chrissy Teigen, James Charles, and Paris Hilton. Ria got into organization because, well, she was messy by nature. As a mother of three, Ria felt chaotic and found resolve in decluttering and organizing her home. Her home began to feel like an outward expression of her internal state with a cluttered home leading to a cluttered feeling in the mind. With this revelation, she set out to help others find peace of mind by cultivating and curating functional living spaces for others.

Danielle Byall
She’s been keeping my lashes gorgeous for over 3 years!
When you lay down on someone’s table for an hour every 2 weeks, for 3 +years straight, let’s just put it this way: you get to know someone. Danielle truly has changed the way I feel about my looks with her lash extensions. Everybody has their thing that they love, nails, hair, working out, clothes…. well mine is lashes. Once I started getting lash extensions, I felt like the self I always wanted to be. I just LOVE them. And Danielle and LASHOUT is truly the best. Overall the one-on-one, no distractions HOURS we have talked (my eyes are literally closed) while I’m getting lashes, I have learned a lot from Danielle. I have listened to her dreams of expanding her business, starting from scratch, and I have watched her make it happen. I have seen how she navigated and survived covid when her business had to completely shut down and then restructure. And she did it and thrived. I have watched her be heartbroken over her infertility journey (as was I) for years, and heard the defeat in her voice, and felt the sadness in her heart. And then I have watched her welcome her son into the world. I have seen her balance being the most intentional mom along with the most intentional business owner. I have seen how she has shifted her priorities and created a new life balance after becoming a mom. I have grown and talked through so many life obstacles laying right there on Danielle’s table. This podcast covers it all. So grab a comfy seat, a coffee or beverage, and enjoy some honest beauty salon talk with my good friend Danielle.
Cirby Ryan
Style Queen: Transforming wardrobes and empowering women!
I love the way Cirby dresses. Her style and vibe completely speak to me. So I had to have her give me the mommy closet kick ass confident soulful rock n roll sexy mature and tasteful makeover that I have been desperately longing for since becoming a mom. I don’t know about you, but I lost my style and groove a little bit after having a child. I no longer want to wear everything as low as I can with as much cleavage and as tight and short as I can… Cirby’s slogan is, “turn heads for a different reason.” That’s the vibe I want and Cindy helped me achieve. She can do it for you too. She does closet analysis and creates looks that you could never dream of from the clothes you ALREADY have and truly makes you feel like you will own the day. She also will curate and create a WOW look for you for any event. Clothes and how you present yourself makes you feel a certain way. I think one of the most empowering things a woman can do for herself, especially if she’s in a transition place in her life, is to feel good in her skin and her clothes. No matter what size or how old you are, you have the right and owe it to yourself to rock yo bad self! So listen to this podcast and hire Cirby if you can. We talk about how she and her sisters were a hot music trio, being a mama, how you know when to move to the next phase, and so much goodness! All you mamas and hard workin’ women out there, you are a queen and deserve to feel it and look it! Tune in now!

Erica has spent over a decade of her life traveling and creating timeless designs for the Nashville community. In doing so, she has created many lifelong relationships and friendships with some of Nashville’s top artists and families. Beth Barcus
Counselor to the biggest stars in country music.
Beth does God’s work for sure. She is blessed with a heart of gold and uses her goodness to help tons of artists and wives in the music industry sort out their lives and understand how to mentally become healthy, when so many of us in the music industry have lived through all sorts of pain, insecurity and trauma. She works for Porters Call. It’s the most unique, incredible therapy center I have ever experienced. It solely exists for artists and theirs families. Ohhhh, and it’s COMPLETELY free. Some of country music biggest stars walk through Porters Calls door on a regular basis bc Beth and the other therapists there know and understand the demands and pressure the music industry puts on individuals and families. Beth and I have such an honest conversation about what “doing the work” actually means. Beth shares so many insights and tools and really explains what a therapy session and ongoing therapy relationship looks like, and how it can truly help you heal yourself. But you have to “do the work.”
Brooke Eden
Finally out and proud as a gay woman in country music, Brooke explains how keeping her true love and sexuality a secret almost killed her.
Brooke is a show stopper. Her voice, her beauty, her heart, she is the full package. She walks me through her life journey… her dream of being a country singer her whole life… how she was living her dream and was making waves on country radio… at the same time she realized she was truly madly deeply insanely in love with a woman, her record rep, Hillary Hoover. Brooke wasn’t sure if she would be accepted in country music as a gay woman so she kept it a secret for years. She developed serious stomach ulcers and was withering away from anxiety and stress. Her doctor said if she didn’t deal with what was plaguing her mind, her body may fail her. That moment Brooke decided to be honest. She wrote a new EP, shot stunning sexy music videos with her girlfriend (now fiancé) and stepped into her truth. Country music and the world has received her with open arms. She just sang Trisha Yearwood’s hit “She’s in love with the boy” with Trisha on the Opry but they changed the lyrics to “she’s in love with the girl.” Brooke is a beacon of light showing the way of how to unapologetically live the life your heart desires.
Ginger Stache
Chief Creative Officer to Pastor & Mogul Joyce Meyer.
I absolutely had the most fascinating and stimulating conversation with Ginger about God, life, unjustness and suffering, and how to find happiness in day to day life no matter what your life looks like…….
This is what Ginger’s new book, CHASING WONDER is all about….. Life is meant to be a grand adventure, and in CHASING WONDER, Ginger helps you set the plan for this big adventure called LIFE! You can certainly survive without adventure--keep your head down and live in your comfort zone, doing only what you must to maintain the day-to-day. But It should surprise and wow us on a regular basis. The problem is our days are so full of routine, monotony, and fear, that it is easier to stay on that treadmill of boredom than it is to step off into the unknown and discover something wonderful.
Stache firmly believes that we are at our best when we live with an attitude that life is an adventure--an outlook that sets the stage by believing that every moment has the potential to bring something amazing, a sight to behold, or a lesson to be learned.

Jessica Zweig
Powerhouse Branding Expert!
Every day, Jessica shows up for the world as authentically “her” as possible. But it wasn’t always that way. Through most of her 20s, she struggled with body dysmorphia, romantic codependency, massively low self-esteem and thousands of dollars of credit card debt. It took a lot of therapy, deep spiritual journeys, self-work and most of all, self-responsibility to finally realize that she was out of alignment with her true self and that she didn’t have to be everything to everyone. And in fact, doing that was robbing her of living her best life.
So instead, she decided to zero in on who she was at her core and let that woman shine—a world-traveling big-thinking visionary with goddess energy and a superpower for helping others discover their unique essence. She created her own personal brand and realized that when she started showing up as her every day, my whole world changed. Life became infinitely better, and she became infinitely more … “her.” In 2014, her personal branding company, SimplyBe. Agency, was born. Her mission? When you set yourself free to Simply Be, you set the world free. She just released her first best selling book, as well as hosting a top podcast, speaking around the world and empowering women in everything she does!
Marie Joe
Founder and head designer for JFY, a top female design company that focuses on timelessness and bringing each client’s personality to life.
Marie-Joe is born French Canadian. She lived and loved half of her life in Canada then relocated to America with her husband for his job opportunity just over 2 decades ago. Talk about a woman who knows how to pivot, re-invent herself, follow her curiosity and passion, put herself out there even when she doesn’t see the road, just the first step... that’s Marie-Joe. I LOVE Marie-Joe’s zest for a passionate life and her willingness to just go for it. She doesn’t overthink or doubt her instincts and gifts. She isn’t scared to be the boss and make important choices. I learned so much from this conversation. Key points: be confident, be bold, don’t be scared to try something you’re curious about and feel like you could be gifted in, start small and within your network of people and work for free/part time/side hustle in the beginning, gaining experience is priceless and essential... You can build a thriving, top career from the bottom up while being a mother, just learn your boundaries. Marie-Joe talks about finding her way in a new country, charting her own course with her design dreams, balancing motherhood, marriage and career and not feeling guilty for needing all 3 in her life, which comes with learning when to make sacrifices and where. This episode is crucial for women who want to know how to have it all and be so round of your life, family and relationships without sacrificing it all.
Rachel Bradshaw
Star of E!’s new hit reality show, “The Bradshaw Bunch",” shares about growing up in a famous family, Nashville success, and how she has healed after her life came crashing down.
Rachel has grown up in the public eye. Her dad is Football Icon and Legend Terry Bradshaw. I’ve known Rachel for over a decade; we met when we were in our early 20’s, both of us aspiring singer/songwriters in Nashville. Rachel found instant and early success. She landed a publishing deal and had a hit song w Jerrod Neimann “What do you Want,” immediately when she moved to town. Rachel tells me all about this time in her life and how exciting and easy everything felt. Then her life came crashing down. She had fallen madly and wildly in love with Titans football star Rob Bironas. They were one of the “it” couples in Nashville. They got married and started what seemed a perfect life. Then he tragically died in a car accident. Rachel goes into detail about how her life fell apart. She moved to Texas to get back to the basics with her family and heal. She went into intensive therapy for several years and dug into all the pain she was feeling and carrying around. Rachel talks to me about what she learned and why doing the hard work is so important if you truly want to heal. In the midst of all of this personal work on herself and time with her family, The Bradshaw’s were offered a Reality TV Show on E! Rachel originally did not want to do the show bc she did not want to dive back into the limelight and fame life again after working so hard to heal. But she explains why this show has blessed her life and family, and how she hopes to inspire others with her story.
Lex Allen
This mama and nurse tells how she and Jimmie Allen fell in love kissing at a stoplight.
This beauty just had a birthday and turned 25, so everybody send her a happy birthday message! Lex is young and wise. She follows her gut instinct and intuition. She isn’t scared to take big, scary leaps for life and love. Lex and Jimmie were set up to meet at his show from mutual friends. Lex is a nurse and came straight from work in her scrubs, naturally beautiful and confident without even trying. It was pretty immediate sparks for them. The first car trip they took, Jimmie leaned over and kissed her at a stoplight. Their instant chemistry gives Simon and Daphne from Bridgerton a run for their money. The next show he invited Lex to, he changed the words to his song to say “kissing at a stoplight,” then he walked through the crowd and laid one on Lex. I love their love story. It’s full of passion and willingness to dive all in. Lex shares with me what she’s learned from being a mama, how life has changed in so many ways the past year, the lessons learned from being a Nurse and handling life and death plus the rocket ship ride of Jimmie’s fame. Lex is so down to earth and relatable while being a total smoke-show sweet heart.

The Globetrotters: Flight Time and Big Easy.
These guys are worldwide sensations. They have travelled to over 70 countries and shook hands with President Obama and the Pope. As a matter of fact, Flight Time wrote a best seller book called “Projects, Popes and Presidents,” where he chronicles his life growing up in the Projects, witnessing domestic violence, to chasing his dream of basketball which led him literally around the world. Big Easy also grew up witnessing violence and destruction (he lived through Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and lost everything). I met these 2 guys when we raced on “The Amazing Race: All Stars.” They are the most positive, inspiring dudes you will ever meet. They met every challenge on “The Race” with the most optimistic attitude and the belief of success, as well as lending a helping hand to other teams along the way. They share so much insight for how they achieved their dreams, broke cycles, and are creating a new way of life for their families. They both shared how change starts in the family unit. They are shining examples of how anyone can live the life and future of their dreams, and as Flight Time says “Kindness is Free,” so spread it around like crazy!
Laine Hardy
2019 American Idol Winner tells all! Laine is a sweetheart. Hearing his story of how he won American Idol was so refreshing. Growing up, he would ride his 4-wheeler into the woods and practice singing, where no one could hear him. When he finally sang for his mama, she encouraged him to try out for American Idol. So basically one of the first times he ever sang publicly was his try out. And the judges went wild over his voice. Luke Bryan picked him as the winner the first time he heard him sing. Laine is a country boy and sings about what he knows and from his heart. He is so unassuming about his success and fame. He shares with me how he overcomes fear, his secret weapon for winning American Idol, advice for anyone wanting to win American Idol and his new music that just dropped.

From racing around the world on “The Amazing Race,” to running a ranch and raising a family, Cord and Sara are true examples of “The Cowboy Code.” 6 years ago, Jennifer Wayne and I got to race around the world w Cord and his brother Jet on ”The Amazing Race.” Cord and Jet were “The Cowboys,” and they were the team EVERYONE feared. They were brilliant, efficient, incredible problem solvers, honorable, strong /courageous/fearless, no nonsense, lone rangers, focused, determined, and witty on top of it all. Neither one of our teams ended up winning, but we have a bond and stories for life (we share some great ones this episode). I’ve gotten to know his beautiful, precious wife Sara over these past few years and and have been so inspired by the way she shares her heart. Sara tells me the 7 year emotional journey and wait she and Cord had to endure to have their daughter Tulsa (Tulsa also makes some appearances this episode :), and how important it is to Sara to be a role model to Tulsa as a strong, capable, compassionate woman. She and Cord talk about what the Cowboy Code really means, and their secret to marriage.
Shauna Galligan
Stunt woman to the stars shares how she healed her brain injury with meditation and manifesting. Shauna laughs when she tells me how surreal it was to be holding Robert Downing JR’s hand, while on set to one of the biggest Marvel movies. Shauna is a top stunt woman to movies like The Avengers and Thor. What’s so intriguing about Shauna beyond her success and talent is her belief and understanding of God and understanding her own manifesting and healing power. And she has the life story to prove it. She healed a brain injury with with power of meditation and manifesting.
Linda Scruggs
Fertility Nurse shares the inside journey of IVF and the best time for conception. Linda and I had a fast connection. As many of you know, I struggled to get pregnant with Sunny, experiencing loss and about a year of waiting, wondering if a baby was in our future. That was one of the most depressing years of my life. I have so many friends who are on a very similar, emotional journey to motherhood. Some of my friends have had a lot of success with IVF, others have not. I have been wanting to have this conversation for some time now with a trained professional about the ins and out of fertility from an exert’s point of view. What I love about Linda is she is a judgment free zone. She knows motherhood looks different for every woman and it is her mission to walk along side each of her clients and find the best road for them. Often times when you are in a doctors office, it is hard to ask your burning, vulnerable questions... and with fertility, many times women have to make huge decisions about with to do w embryos with no time to think or process. Linda is that comfort every women needs in this situation. She is the safe place to get answers to the hard, emotional questions. This interview offers up SO MUCH wisdom to any woman who is looking for wisdom and guidance during one of the most challenging times.
Shaney Jo: KEEP A BREAST
Her friend died 3 weeks after giving birth. For the past 20 years, she has turned art into healing + purpose with her nonprofit organization KEEP A BREAST. Shaney Jo goes around the country and globe casting women’s breast. Then renowned artists from all over paint them and turn them into masterpieces to be auctioned off for the charity. I was lucky enough to get to donate my boobies to this amazing cause. KEEP A BREAST is all about prevention and early detection. They have a KEEP A BREAST app and all sorts of information on their website keep-a-Breast.org. Shaney Jo talks to me about how she keeps her grounding while doing such important work, casting all types of women’s bodies in the most intimate form. She talks about what she has learned from these women being so vulnerable with her and shares her dreams for the future of women’s health and prevention.
Emily Curl
iHeart Digital Host explains how she landed her dream job in NYC from small town roots and why the tiktok generation could save humanity. Emily is a go-getter. She puts herself out there and isn’t afraid to jump for the stars. That’s exactly what she did when she applied to be a host in NYC while still living in her small town... but she put on the application that she already lived in NYC. When she got the job a couple weeks later, she made it happen and moved to New York in a whirlwind. We both share the beliefs that hustling, hard work, plus talent and a great attitude are essentials to success. I love Emily’s drive and journey. She also tells me why the tiktok generation may just save us all.
Canaan and Christy Smith
How hit country artist/songwriter and his wife fell in love from a chance encounter at a concert, and how life has changed since parenthood.
Canaan broke onto the country music scene w a #1 hit “Love you Like That.” He has weathered the ups and downs of the music industry and now has a new label home and music out under Flodia Georgia Line’s label Round Here Records. A lot of our conversation was centered around trusting God’s plan and guidance and being grateful for the blessings we have and what we have learned from highs and lows and what faith means to us. We talked about Christy and Canaan’s love story. They met at a concert and felt sparks immediately. The timing was off in the beginning but eventually the stars aligned after a blind date weekend (their story is pretty epic). Christy is a nurse practitioner and she talks about being on the front lines of the heath service during the pandemic and how she deals with her fear and practices safety, especially since they have a 9 month old baby girl at home. This couple is a shining light of faith, love, talent, perseverance, commitment and rising to whatever occasion God calls them.
Caroline Hobby
This episode I take the time to introduce myself, tell you a little bit about my life and answer your burning questions for me!
I have never fully introduced myself and y’all have been asking me to do a podcast interviewing myself lol, so here it is! I talk about my childhood, my dreams, dealing with feeling lost and unworthy, changing careers, my journey on CBS’s “The Amazing Race” w Jennifer Wayne, how and why I started a podcast, my emotional journey to motherhood and my must have baby items plus my long love story w Michael Hobby!
Mid-Week Mom Chat: My Baylor Besties Beth and Kelly spill all the beans on our freshman year together.
It’s crazy how one year of your life can cement a friendship forever. My freshman year of college, I went to Baylor University and become soulmate sisters for life with Kelly Jackson (McShan) and Beth Harrison (Richards). We did everything together, including shower, eat late night Taco Bell, and slumber party every night. We were boy crazy together, like woah haha. We also have stayed best friends and all evolved together and now all have families and lives we love while still loving and cherishing each other even more. We talk about old funny stories (there are some ridiculous ones lol), what marriage and kids have taught us and our hope for the future.
Ashley Nell Tipton
Project Runway Season 14 Champ talks the ups and downs of being the first plus size designer to win the title.
Ashley has always loved fashion since she was a little girl, learning how to sew from her grandma who is one of her biggest inspirations. Growing up plus size, Ashley often felt very frustrated that there were no clothes out there to reflect her self expression of how she felt on the inside... she longed for clothes to wear that were fun, in fashion, and told the story she wanted to tell about her personality. So since they didn’t exist, she started making her own. That journey led her to Project Runway where she became the first person to win for designing plus size. After winning, she got her own line at JCPenny and was flooded with opportunities... at the same time she decided she wanted to get weight loss surgery to feel better and healthier. She said it was very difficult being criticized for this decision and losing deals on top of it bc people thought she was “selling out.” This led Ashley to a period of feeling lost and having to reevaluate. We talk about why she started teaching “self love” courses and how she has found her way in fashion making custom masks and offering sewing classes and flower crown courses to teach others how to design and create. Ashley’s story is one of determination, strength, beauty, inclusivity, creativity and paving her own way.
Toni Thomas
Growing up w a civil rights activist mother in the 60’s, Toni talks about why 50+ years later we are fighting the same fight and how it must change or we will implode.
“If we don’t solve this, we are going to implode. This is the last chance for the change... The mess is everything. This is physical disease, moral disease, spiritual disease.... social disease... environmental disease.. its all come to a full head at the same time, and guess what? We don’t have a choice.” These wise words came from my friend Toni. She is a black woman who grew up w a civil right activist mother who actually attended school with Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King. Toni is smart. She is wise. She is successful. She is beautiful inside and out. She told me a story about how she thought she was getting pulled over recently while driving and the fear she had for “driving while black...” She ran me through the check list a black person must think about while being pulled over, even if they are completely innocent. She gives a detailed breakdown of where the systemic racism lives in America and why she has hope that the young people may actually be the change we need in this world.
Amara Hall
Amara talks about racism in America and why education and active change must happen within white people. I want my platform and podcast to be a place to get inspired, to learn, to better ourselves so we do better in the world. It has always been important to me that every story I share on my podcast is one of hope, overcoming, inspiration and leaves a messages that encourages us all to love more, hope more, believe that better days are ahead, and that we all have the ability to live a life of accomplishing our dreams. Right now in America, the conversation can no longer be ignored that black men and women are not given the same treatment as white men and women. I have always been non-racist, but that is not enough anymore. We have to lock hands and walk arm and arm in this conversation with our black brothers and sisters. We have to not stand for anything less than absolute equality. Black artists and voices need to be heard and seen more than ever right now. I hope this Thursday series I’m doing w one of my best friends Amara Hall (vibe queen, spoken word artist and poet) who is a black woman, will shed some light on how we all can be better and do better. It is our job to educate ourselves, so I pray this podcast can be a helpful tool in this very heartbreaking time. I have to admit, I have been uncomfortable talking about race bc I don’t want to say something wrong. But as Amara mentions in this episode “it’s time to get over it and start talking.”
Sara Evans
The superstar singer gives me epic marriage and motherhood advice & talks about life on the road w kids plus her newest album “Copy That.” Sara is the total package. Stunning, Unbelievably talented, Incredible mother and devoted wife, God fearing woman. Sara knows who she is and what matters to her. She doesn’t try to hide what’s important, where she stands, and she knows her priorities and is unapologetic about them. When we started talking, she was so down to earth and relatable that it felt like I was just talking to an old friend, not a top selling female country artist. We talked about how her game-changing debut album “Born to Fly” is celebrating 20 years. Her latest album “Copy That” is out now and it features her favorite classic songs, remade Sara Evans style. I think my favorite part of the interview was her talking about life on the road w babies and kids. She never asked permission to include her family in everything she has done. She just brought them along and made it work. I love that. So many times, especially as women, we feel like we can’t do it all at the same time, but Sara is a perfect example that you can have a happy marriage, beautiful children, and a thriving career all at once. This episode is packed with wisdom and truth bombs.
Dennis Quaid
Dennis Quaid does it all. First off he’s a Hollywood superstar. DeHe’s a badass singer and musician. Also on his resume: he’s a jet pilot, has golfed with Presidents, and is a doting father. Dennis has so much wisdom from all of the incredible life that he has lived. He just launched a new podcast “The Dennissance” where he interviews all of his famous friends and has honest, real conversations talking about everything outside of what they are known for professionally. Dennis and I chatted about what he’s learned from being in “Hollywood jail,” who’s on his bucket list to interview, and why he thinks the world is in the middle of a spiritual awakening.
Mid-Week Mom & Dad Chat Podcast: By popular demand I have my hubby Michael Hobby back on!
The hubs and I get downnnnn and intimate on this podcast. We talk about the difference between sex and making love, each other’s hall passes, why you have to persevere and not take things personal, the importance of not burning bridges, what we both are learning from quarantine, why he knows crying is important to me and supports it, and how it is absolutely 100% necessary to be honest and communicate with your partner and not expect them to read your mind. This absolutely may be one of my favorite, most personal convos we have ever had.
Ruthie Lindsey
At seventeen years old, Ruthie was hit by an ambulance outside of a gas station in rural Louisiana. She broke her neck, punctured her lungs, and ruptured her spleen. Doctors performed a spinal cord fusion using wire and miraculously, she walked out of the hospital within a month. I sat down and talked with Ruthie (before #quarantine) all about how her life unfolded after the accident. We talk about marriage and divorce, the passing of her father and living with unbearable chronic pain that left her depressed, addicted to painkillers, and bedridden. Ruthie just released her memoir “There I Am, from Hopeless to Healing,” empowering others to find purpose in their pain, to look for beauty in the midst of their brokenness.
Mid-Week Mom Chat: Amanda Satcher
This week Nashville was hit by a tornado. Michael and I were in the eye of the storm, but somehow thankfully spared. Since our power went out, our best friends Bill and Amanda Satcher took us in. I grew up w Amanda in Waco Texas, and Bill plays guitar in A Thousand Horses and grew up with Michael in Newberry South Carolina. Amanda is 7 months pregnant and an Occupation Therapist who deals with life and death and losing and recovering everyday. We talk about navigating the highs and lows of life, dealing with trauma, the heartbreak of not being able to get pregnant for over a year, then getting pregnant and the highs and lows of that. This is honest best friend talk to it’s finest. So pull up a chair, grab some coffee and join us.
Laney Crowder
Laney Crowder is the wife to Corey Crowder, who is one of Country Music’s top Songwriters and producers (Chris Young, Florida Georgia Line), and super mom to two wonderful kids. While tackling all the things life has to offer, she shares her family’s journey in the music industry from being broker then broke, returning groceries for gas money, to #1 songs on the charts. She talks about the ups and downs and the struggles of being present in a fast moving world and how she tackles being a present parent. Laney is taking 2020 by storm with her passion project “The Wheatfield”. We talk about how she is spreading the word of God and that all seasons of our lives lead to abundance, even though that feels hard to believe. To get to the harvest we have to plow, wait, plant, wait, overcome nature’s obstacles, only to have to work harder once our harvest is here. I love her perspective so much. Especially in this time of confusion and tragedy in the world, Laney is shining a light on how to live abundantly.
Mid-Week Mom Chat: Joanne Jarrett
Joanne is a family physician turned stay-at-home mom, writer, and cozy clothes designer. After she published a story about getting stuck in a dress at Dillard’s, thinking she was the first and only one this had ever happened to, and getting SO many responses that a similar thing had happened to so many other people, she decided that we NEED to be telling each other these stories! So she launched her podcast “FANCY FREE.” We laughed so hard during this episode. Joanne also gave great advice on navigating COVID19 with children and why faith is so important.
RaeLynn
I video chat with RaeLynn and talk all about this crazy time we are in being quarantined due to the corona virus. RaeLynn is a sparkling unicorn of rainbow confetti that brightens every room she’s in. She is the life of every party. And she’s incredibly talented. After being on “Team Blake” and impacting America with her twang, charm and talent on “The Voice,” Raelynn’s music career exploded like a firework! She had a hit song immediately with “God Made Girls,” and was touring with every superstar from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, to Rascal Flatts. We talk about her rise to fame and how she has navigated the highs and lows of the music industry at a very young age. She is now signed to Florida Georgia Line record label Round Here Records and feels more freedom than ever to create the music she feels like she was put on this earth to make. We chat about her husband and how they have been sweethearts for years. God is the guiding force in her life and she shares with me how He leads the way in all that she does.
Laura Hutfless
Laura has a laundry list of accomplishments. She is a top female power player in the Entertainment Industry. She launched FlyteVu (They Connect Brands To Consumers Through the Power Of Music, Pop Culture and Entertainment) in 2015 after 15+ years in the music industry brokering Artist & Brand partnerships at CAA, Ticketmaster, and WME where she grew sponsorship revenues to over $50M. But Laura is not one of those “bosses” who just orders people around . She is all about the creative experience and hiring people who think outside the box and can bring ideas to life that others would be too scared to even dream about. I love how she told me “no is just a suggestion.” She won’t stop until her vision is executed no matter how much red tape she has to get through and how daunting the task may be. Giving back is where her heart lives. She wants people to be seen, ideas to come alive, people to feel fulfilled, and brands and entertainers to combine forces with a message that impacts the world for the better. I have been lucky enough to work with her on several campaigns and it has been nothing short of inspiring to see the creativity, connectivity and fluidness of her team. You can tell everyone is full of passion at FlyteVu. Laura talks about why healing is so important to her. When she was young she almost died from anorexia. Last year she lost her boyfriend. He was a survivor of Columbine. Laura has made it her life’s work to help heal those who have survived a mass shooting. Please check out http://www.theonsitefoundation.org if you or someone you know needs help. Laura is a light to this world and is using her own pain to help others find healing. This interview will motivate you to believe in hope, even in the darkest hours.

Nashville Morning News Anchor at WKRN shares her journey to TV and motherhood with her precious daughter Andi who was born micro-premie at 28 weeks. Nikki is a badass. She has spent her whole adult life pursuing her dream of being a news anchor. Not only did she make that happen, but she landed the coveted seat at Nashville’s top news outlet WKRN. We talk about the sacrifices and victories she has had along the way to that chair. Then we get to real heart-strings talk. Nikki and I were pregnant together, and she was due only 2 weeks before me. Then fate had another plan. Her precious, fighter of a daughter Andi, decided to make her debut into this world 12 weeks early, making her born at 28 weeks. Andi was 1.4 pounds and a micro-premie. After spending 71 scary, hard, emotional and blessed days in the NICU Andi got to come home! This episode is so inspiring as Nikki recalls all the God moments that happened while in the NICU and how she processed and handled her fear.
The Showroom Ladies
I talk to the owners of the premier evening gown dress rental shop in Nashville about how hard women are on themselves and how important it is to support each other bc we all have insecurities. Kristen, Ariel and Danielle have heard more personal details about most women in Nashville than they would probably care to know. They own The Showroom, which is THE place to rent any kind of evening gown. When women are trying on a dress, all of their deepest insecurities and negative self talk come out. The Showroom ladies share with me how hard we are on ourselves as women, and how we pick ourselves apart in the attempt to be “perfect.” The Showroom is an amazing place bc Ariel, Kristen and Danielle’s only goal is to make every woman that comes in the store feel like a million bucks and comfortable in their skin. They talk about the importance of community and supporting each other and how the store has become an amazing so space for fun, encouragement and spreading love and confidence between women.
Ashley Eicher
This episode is pure therapy. I went into this interview wanting to talk to Ashley all about how she is one of the most respected entertainment hosts in Nashville. She has worked with Rolling Stone, Country Weekly, GAC, CMT, covered every major county award show and host her own successful Nashville entertainment based podcast “All Our Favorite People.” But instead we had soul talk. Went went real deep. Like all the way back to the moment in Ashley’s childhood where she remembered being completely free before the world made her believe that she wasn’t enough. Then we have a BREAKTHROUGH moment where we realize she has found that girl again, after committing the last year to intensive therapy, and she is truly living free and worthy like how she remembered herself as a child. This episode is truly healing and inspiring to walk through the emotional journey of Ashley’s life.
Slumber Party w my College Roomies and Besties
Beth Potter, Emily Serdoz and Katie Arabie are my very best friends from Belmont University. We all got together at my house, piled in my bed like the old days, grabbed the wine, and went down memory lane for this podcast. We talk about the life we lived together in our 20’s... how we thought we were so cool smoking cigarettes (NOT COOL) and making out with boys. We laugh about all the lessons we learned together and how much we appreciate our 15 year friendship. We are moms now and Emily and I share our birthing stories and how they both weren’t what we planned, but isn’t that parenthood in general?! Beth and Katie share about life with little kids and how we all find balance within the beautiful chaos.
Carissa Culiner Star and host of E! Daily Pop.
Carissa is the girl that everyone wants for their best friend and I’m sure every guy tried to date before she got married. She’s beautiful but doesn’t lead with her beauty, she leads with her open heart, bright eyes, good humor, and honest conversation. She’s super chill and has a way of making anyone who’s talking to her feel at ease and safe. I guess that’s why she is one of the star hosts for E!. Everyday she goes live with “The Daily Pop,” where she has round table talk with some of the biggest celebrities. I love how Carissa told me that her being vulnerable and willing to share her life and struggles was crucial for a good interview... “why would they want to share something back with me if I’m just sitting there on my high horse not sharing anything about myself.” She tells me how she juggles work and motherhood, how there is no balance, and what kept her in tears in the beginning of being a new mom. She also walks me through some of her most memorable interviews with the world’s favorite superstars.
Gabi McCreery
Gabi talks about how Scotty has been her crush and sweetheart since grade school. Gabi is a sweetheart with the purest heart. This interview is so touching bc Gabi shares with me how she has always loved Scotty since they met in elementary school. They are both each other’s first, big love. She talks about how life changed once Scotty came back to High School as a star after winning American Idol, his epic marriage proposal to her where he almost fell off the side of a cliff, how God is the center point of their marriage, plus we discuss what they’ve learned from the highs and lows of the music industry: from the American Idol rocket ship to stardom, to losing his record deal, watching his career as he knew it come crashing down and then rebuilding stronger than ever.
Jennifer Wayne
We talk about what it’s like growing up as John Wayne’s granddaughter, being a professional tennis player and how important the mental game is, why she’s not afraid to fail and how she found strength to keep pursuing her dream of music even when doors slammed in her face and she felt defeated.... As well as our time together on CBS’s “The Amazing Race,” coming in 4th and 2nd place, stories from that adventurous time in our lives and lessons we learned traveling the world together plus how it feels to have a TOP 5 SONG w her band Runaway June!
Cody Alan
The face of CMT talks about how he decided the time was right to come out as a gay man in country music. I usually interview women for my podcast, but I had to make an exception when I got the opportunity to talk to Cody Alan. I have loved Cody for so long. He has always had the kindest heart, and most inviting spirit to be around. Watching him own his true identity as a gay man in country music, and taking that risk of wondering if he would be exiled from the community, where so few people have ever come out as LGBTQ was a huge moment of bravery for Cody, and powerful to observe. Cody is one of the trailblazers for equality and acceptance in country music. He shares with me how incredible it felt to receive the overwhelming support from artists and the community, and how he uses his platform to help others embrace their individuality by living by the motto “make your mess your message.”
Deanna Daughtry
Life with Chris Daughtry. For so long, Deanna hid the full truth of who she was, and felt unworthy. But she is done living in the shadows. Recently, Deanna has stepped out publicly as a bisexual woman, with the full support of Chris. We talk about why she decided to go public, and how she is taking brave ownership of every part of herself, despite how scary it feels. She co-wrote Chris’ newest song AS YOU ARE which is a declaration of being loved fully for who you are...
“You're feeling isolate
And all kinds of frustrate
But I love you as you are
Love you as you are, yeah
And don't worry about the hate
It don't fit in those boxes they create
And it's tearing you apartIt's tearing you apart, yeah”
Deanna and Chris met 19 years ago when he was just 20 years old and selling vacuums. Deanna at the time was a single mother of 2 and 7 years older. Sparks flew between them immediately and they were married within months of meeting. We talk about how they have navigated life as Chris became an overnight success and star from American Idol, dealing with infidelity from an empathic standpoint, the ups and down of fame, and raising 5 kids. Plus we talk about how Deanna and Chris agreed upon ethical non-monogamy at certain points in their relationship, and how important it is to love yourself and live authentically. It is not easy to share your whole soul with the world and open yourself up to others opinions. I admire and praise her for her strength, vulnerability and commitment to living honestly and open. I know you will feel the same.
Cat Nail
Wife to country singer David Nail. Cat is a little firecracker. She is so spunky, beautiful and has a heart of gold. I love that she is fearless when it comes to being honest and sharing about life and her journey. We talk about how she met David (after he and her friend had a brief make out session) how Cat farting on demand was the beginning of true love for her and David, secrets to a successful marriage while life on the road, their 4 year journey to parenthood through in vitro that led to precious twins, plus the very raw reality of dealing with loss after trying in vitro again for a third child. Spoiler alert: Cat’s adorable son makes a cameo and sings several songs that will melt your heart.
Katie Cook
Host and Face of CMT. Katie Cook grew up in England in a very musical family. She got a record deal in Nashville with her punk rock/country band Reno, and started splitting time between America and the UK. When her band broke up, she was sweeping hair at a salon in Nashville and heard that CMT was looking for a new host. On a whim, she auditioned and got the job with no previous hosting experience. Over 20 years later, she is still the Host and Face of CMT. Katie also shares about the passing of her sister JoJo, who lived her life with disabilities and the brightest spirit. Katie and her husband have a band called SunKat and they have an amazing tribute song to her called “Hey JoJo.”
Nicolle Galyon
2 time ACM Song of the Year winner. Nicolle is the unicorn of the music business, she has it all. She’s beautiful, oozing with passion and talent, fiercely committed to her family and friends, and oh yeah, happens to be one of the most successful songwriters in Country Music. She’s won ACM Song of the Year twice w Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic” and Dan and Shay’s “Tequila,” plus written multiple other #1 hits. She’s been on “The Voice,” and has an exhibit in The Country Music Hall of Fame. But what I love most about Nicolle is her raw, honest heart. Yes her life appears perfect, but she’s not scared to fail, or talk about her insecurities, struggles and the ups and downs of daily life. I love how she views fear and failure, and why she’s not afraid to own her worth.
Taylor Young
Taylor met Brett Young when she was in college. Her roommate was friends with him and he was coming to town to play a show. Brett heard about Taylor and sent her a Facebook message asking her on a date before they even met. They ended up dating 6 years then broke up due to timing and schedules. Fast forward a few years, Brett had moved to Nashville and was one of country music’s newest, hottest stars, when he randomly reached out to Taylor after they hadn’t spoken in years. They reconnected and realized they were each other’s one true love and got married and pregnant with a baby girl all within about a year and a half. Taylor tells me why she loves going on the road with Brett and learning his world of touring, how she and Brett plan to bring a baby on the road, plus how they learned to fight fair with a purpose and why they love pillow talk.
Nicole Hocking
I pulled up to interview Nicole, and see her fiancé Luke Combs outside changing their cats litter box. My heart exploded. Here is Luke, on fire, selling out arenas, yet he’s still as normal as the next person. That’s why I loved this interview with Nicole. She is so down to earth. She loves to hunt and be active, loves her friends and family, loves to make tacos with Luke at home and binge Netflix. It was so sweet hearing about how Nicole and Luke started off as close friends, then watched that friendship quickly turn to love. Listening to Nicole talk about how teary she gets seeing Luke on stage and watching his music impact people was so inspiring. I love how she takes time to count her blessings everyday and never forgets to be thankful for the life she lives.
Jana Kramer
On this episode, I share some really exciting news that I’M PREGNANT to Jana Kramer! Jana is such an incredible mother to her 2 angels Jolie and Jace, and has been through such an emotional journey to parenthood, just like I have been. We talk about how devastating it is to miscarry, and the fear of miscarriage again once you are holding a pregnancy. We dive into how she juggles her career and her family, deals with anxiety, and how she and Mike have worked so hard to rebuild and make their marriage strong and thriving. She and Mike have a podcast called WHINE DOWN that has been therapy for their relationship (they aren’t afraid to tell it all) and is at the top of the iTunes Charts. Jana is such a beautiful, open soul with so much talent and love bursting out of her from singing, acting, dancing (she was 4th place on Dancing w The Stars) and podcasting. Plus she is so down to get real about the nitty gritty of life.
Cassie Kelley
What a woman. I have known and admired this lady for over 10 years. I was an intern for her husband Charles (of Lady Antebellum) co-producer, Victoria Shaw, when Cassie and Charles first met and fell in love; so I got a front row ticket to their blooming love story. I remember thinking Cassie was the most stunning, fabulous human I had ever seen. So graceful, so stylish and so kind. I still feel that way about Cassie today. I have loved getting to know Cassie more over the years and seeing how soulful, giving, real and honest she is as a wife, mother, friend and business woman. Sitting down and talking with Cassie for this podcast was nothing short of inspiring. We talk about how she and Charles fell in love at first sight, Cassie and Charles infertility struggles and journey to parenthood, life on the road pre and post babies, and her travel blog WOMANISTA that she grew, partnered, and eventually sold to CBS (can we say badass)!!! We also get real about body image and how she found relief from the pressure to be perfect. Cassie is such a woman of faith and uplifts anyone who is lucky enough to be in her presence.
Katelyn Brown
When you see Katelyn Brown, you can’t help but stare. She’s drop dead gorgeous. Then you get to know her, and realize she has the sweetest, most playful spirit. It was so fascinating to learn about her musical past. When she was 18, she linked up with Justin Timberlake’s manager and moved to his musical compound in Orlando FL that he created for all of his artists and boy bands to live and develop their talents. At the compound there were recording studios, rehearsal rooms and basically anything you need as an artist at your beck and call. Katelyn lived here for years. During this time she started working with a producer out of Atlanta that was also working with a new young artist, Kane Brown. Katelyn met Kane serendipitously when she was shooting a music video and did not feel chemistry with the actor cast for her love interest. Hayley Hubbard
I could not be more thrilled to kick of 2019 continuing my Music City Wives Series with this angel, Hayley Hubbard. Hayley has the most gentle, giving spirit. She is so inclusive and kind, and radiates so much love for humanity. It was inspiring getting soulful with Hayley, to hear her talk so openly about how she is finding the courage to speak up and use her voice and platform, even though it had formerly terrified her. She talks a lot about God and several moments in her life where God smacked her in the face with a message loud and clear. One of those being when she was about to move to LA. She had a roommate and life lined up, ready to sign a lease, when this cute boy she was just friends with, Tyler Hubbard, told her "No, I don't think you should go... Have you prayed about it yet?" The next day, God gave her an answer loud and clear. She is now married to Tyler (of Florida Georgia Line) and has the sweetest baby girl Liv. Hayley and Tyler's love is more than inspirational. FGL includes their wives in all that they do publicly, and have shown that marriage is a sexy and a beautiful thing in the Entertainment Industry, where so many people before have not wanted to promote marriage. Hayley and Tyler are definitely couple goals and more than that, they are incredible people.

Turn It Gold

Turn It Gold was founded by Angela Dina and her family, along with good friends, following the stage IV, high- risk neuroblastoma cancer diagnosis in there son, Charlie. As Charlie battled through rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, radiation, and a stem cell transplant, the Dina family was able to see the extreme need for continued funding to aid in furthering childhood cancer research. Thankfully, Charlie is surviving his cancer diagnosis. However, they now are seeing the aftermath of the toxic drugs given to their son and how there is a significant funding gap in research to minimize these long term effects for all children surviving these cancer diagnoses.
TURN IT GOLD GALA’S have raised MORE THAN 1 MILLION DOLLARS for childhood cancer!
Missi Gallimore
She’s been a power player in the country music industry for decades. She shares insider secrets to what makes a legendary artist and how to become an industry leader.
When I first moved to Nashville about 20 years ago, I remember being so intimidated by Missi. Not only was she a top publisher for the biggest songwriters in town, she also listened and found hit songs for Faith and Tim, Keith Urban and alllllll the greats! It was Missi who discovered “Breathe” for Faith; originally she pitched it to Tim, but he said Faith would crush it, we get into all sorts of backstories behind songs. She also found, “Humble and Kind,” for Tim…. On top of it all, she and her massive producer husband, Byron, are BFFs w Tim and Faith… Byron is Tim’s producer! So you can see why I was nervous around Missi when I first moved to town, she’s a legend! She shares soooo many stories of how she discovered hit songs, what it’s like working w top celebrities and the traits and work ethic that all icons have… Missi is a powerful, intuitive woman who is such an example of how to be a boss, a mother, a wife and a leader.

Laci Kaye Booth
American Idol season 17 Top 5 standout dreamy star!!
Laci Kaye is SO PRETTY it actually hurts me. Like I feel deep pain for her beauty, and soul, and whole vibe. I know that sounds super emo but it’s just the truth. Some people just hit ya immediately. It was love at first everything for me with her. You want to hear her journey. It’s incredible. Raised by her single mama who gave birth to her at 16, Laci shares with me intimate details of her childhood and gives a first hand, detailed explanation about her journey with American Idol… what the judges are really like, even secrets Katy Perry told her ;)!! Caroline Jones
Playing by her own rules in Country Music and making BIG waves w superstars.
Zac Brown just asked Caroline to join him and his band on his Comeback Tour to play, sing and entertain along side him. She plays and wails on about 7 instruments, has a voice of an angel, is sassy, sexy, and confident to do her career HER way. She’s always been about the long game. Building a grassroots solid fan base for who she is as an artist rather than trying to fit a mold, has always been her vibe. She has toured and released singles with Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown and considers then great friends and mentors. Caroline attracts greatness bc she is great. She hasn’t ever sold herself short, and icons have taken notice of that. She explains her life philosophy to me, her journey plus how she never thought she would fall in love, but now is engaged to a famous sailor and head over heels in love… they lived in New Zealand all during covid bc of his job and had an absolute fairytale experience. Caroline follows her soul and it has led to a magical journey.
Haylee Young
ER nurse and wife of touring musician explains how therapy got her to the other side of grief and trauma.
Haylee and I met when we rocking out (and falling in love w lead singers) of the underground rock scene in Nashville about 15 years ago. Her husband is Ricky Young, who now is in the critically acclaimed band, Wild Feathers. There was a group of rockers who had a cult following in Nashville and would play every weekend. Ricky was a part of that scene, so was my hubs Michael and his band, A Thousand Horses. So Haylee and I have truly lived the Penny Lane life for sure. I loved having this conversation bc all these years later, Haylee and I are still in love with those rocker lead singers that we met almost 20 years ago. But now we both are married, both have little girls, and have lived soooooo much life. Haylee unexpectedly lost her father at age 25 and we really dive into the healing power of therapy and how that changed her life and allowed her to get to the other side of grief. We talk a lot about therapy and why it is so important to find someone to talk to instead of stuffing all the pain and trauma you can’t process on your own. Once you can actually process it with professional help, then you can truly live freely and joyfully.

Loved this convo w Dylan. He told me all about growing up in a musical family, how his wife is his high school sweetheart and the boss (smart man), how being a dad is his most favorite thing, how he found his musical sound, what he hopes his legacy will be, and why his latest #1 song “Nobody” is his favorite song he’s ever released.
Dacía James Lewis
A-List Choreographer tells her story of manifesting her way onto Hollywood’s biggest stages and gets vulnerable when discussing her new book about her fertility journey.
Dacía James Lewis is no stranger to putting herself out there. In her Hollywood career, she has choreographed and graced stages with artists such as Tracee Ellis Ross, Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige and many more. The Atlanta resident was most recently seen in Coming 2 America as well as Genius: Aretha. Expressing herself through dance is something that has always come natural to her; and now, it’s her words that are moving the masses in her first book The Game of Life: Releasing the Weight When God Says Wait. Dacía opens up about her experience with infertility as she takes us through her wait journey. Dacía hopes that by sharing her story, it will normalize speaking about an issue that affects about nine percent of men and 11 percent of women of reproductive age in the United States.
While this book covers her very personal experience with the topic, The Game of Life offers so much more and is relatable to everyone feeling stuck whether it has to do with dreams not coming true or pressures they may face from family and society about relationships or career. The reasons may be different, but the waiting game still feels the same.
Lathan Warlick
Changing the game of country music and using his lyrics for God with his star studded EP produced by Tyler Hubbard of FGL.
This guy I declare has a direct line to God and is using his gifts of lyrics and music to make one of the most impactful, important EPs in Country Music right now, “My Way.” And that’s exactly it, he’s making a new lane for himself and it’s already making waves. Tyler Hubbard, RaeLynn, Lauren Alaina, Russell Dickerson, Matt Stell and Dustin Lynch all have collaborations on Lathan’s project. He’s not a “country artist,” he’s a”positive artist” and his motto is God, Love and Music. His life all changed the moment he was held at gunpoint... after living through that he committed his entire being to serving God and shining light in the dark places of the world. I felt MOVED by the Spirit throughout this entire interview. I talk to tons of spiritually charged humans, but there is something so powerful about Lathan, you can’t help but know you are in God’s presence when you talk to him. Dig into the episode and get his EP, our now “MY WAY.”
Clara Belden
Certified holistic life coach talks about how her own mental wellness journey led her to founding, “The Happy Hour” in Nashville.
“The Happy Hour” is a one-stop shop for mental wellness offering talk therapy, life coaching, group workshops and more all led by their team of licensed professionals. Clara and I are very similar in that we have been on a souls quest to understand and heal the painful parts of our hearts, basically our whole lives. I loved talking to Clara about how diving into her pain and insecurities actually led her to her true purpose in life. And that is her mission, to help others find their true north. This episode explains the difference between a holistic coach and therapy and why you need both plus dives into why taking the time to care about your mental health is the most important thing you can do for yourself and well being.
Sunny Shipley
Texas Country Music Darling.
Sunny is so warm and bright. We both met in Nashville pursuing country music careers, but we really connected when I lived in Austin for a year bc she and her former pro-football player Hubby Jordan, live in the same neighborhood as my sister and her family. She shares about loss of her sister, a horrific car cash that left Sunny in a neck brace for her wedding, overcoming an autoimmune disorder naturally, being a mama to 2 under 2, and the secret to marriage with her hometown sweetheart turned football star.

Marissa Martin
Top Hair stylist to celebs like Carrie Underwood shares what really goes on in her styling chair. Marissa is a little earth angel. She is so beautiful to look at, but it’s her tender heart that just melts you. We talk about how being a hair stylist is next in line to be a therapist bc people sit in her chair and spill their guts. As one of the top stylists in her profession, she tells me how she manifested her dream career and started hustling for it in high school. She talks about navigating the pressure of working with celebrities and how she deals when a client leaves... it’s actually a pretty magical perspective. Marissa also talks about the art of conversation, and being a safe place for people to unload and share what’s on their minds and lives, bc after all, when people are going through a big life shift, the first thing anyone does is change their hair. “Don’t get bangs after a breakup,” she laughed! She tells me how dogs have changed her life and why she’s not stressing about dating, especially in the time of COVID.
Ken Block
Lead singer from Sister Hazel talks rock star life and finding balance. They say “don’t meet your favorite’s” bc it could be a major letdown. Well, thank God that wasn’t true w Ken Block, the lead singer for Sister Hazel. Sister Hazel is the SOUNDTRACK to my high school and college days. I must have played “Your Winter” on repeat several thousand times. It’s my favorite song in the universe. So when I got the chance to interview Ken, I geeked out. It was such an awesome interview and cool moment for me personally. Ken is so down to earth and very open and honest about all things, including family life, the realness of being in a band, addiction and relapse and the fear of losing his voice, how he found balance, what brings him most joy, and music of course. Ken is such a badass human. This episode was everything my super fan 20ish year old self dreamed it would be.
Amen Sister Friend” with Sarah Davidson
This episode is kinda role reversal for me. My long time manifesting positive vibes friend, Sarah, just launched a super uplifting podcast “Amen Sister Friend,” to give you your daily dose of positivity and helping everyone who listens see life through the lens of love. Make sure you go and give it a follow! She has me on as a guest and I LOVED our convo so much, to the point I am airing it on my podcast GET REAL today. We talk about inclusive spirituality, how to keep a positive mindset, growing through suffering and how I am trying to pave the way and cultivate space for my daughter Sunny. Sarah and I always have super deep, open minded convos and we really connect on a soul level. This episode covers some harder questions and may challenge you to examine your beliefs.
April Tomlin
Interior Designer to Top Celebrities shares her formulas to success and it’s not what you think. April is someone I greatly admire. Not only does she do incredible work and turn homes into masterpieces that create a feeling of comfort, peace and beauty, but she is WOKE as the young kids say. I have known April for quite some time now, she even helped me update/design my home when we first moved in 6 years ago. April has given me incredible advice as a new mother as well. We talk about that on this podcast. We talk about how balance, boundaries and self care are the cornerstones to her success. April has an all female staff. She is a trailblazer for women in the workplace by offering “personal hours” on top of vacation and sick days so the women and moms who work for her don’t have to feel guilty, explain, or lie about why they are leaving work early to go to their child’s game, function, etc... or why they need to have some self care hours to get their hair done. She’s all about keeping the full person of her employees and herself cared for and fueled. That’s what makes for her great and motivated staff. She’s also all about playing into and embracing your strengths while being grateful and supportive of others who thrive in your weak zones. April has built her business around healthy boundaries and respect and she does not budge when it comes to her daughters. Her time with them is sacred and she is so intentional to have worked turned off and blocked off so she can be the present mom that she desires to be. She also shares the DIY tips that everyone wants to know who can’t afford a top designer for their home.
Laney Crowder
Life in the Wheat Field. Sharing how to find abundance in every season of life. Laney is someone I love and look up to tremendously. She is an incredible wife to hit songwriter and producer Corey Crowder, an inspiring mother, daughter, sister and friend. She works hard to find and bring God and love to all that she does. She recently launched “Life in the Wheat Field,” a weekly virtual Bible study on Instagram. This all started from a vision she had of herself in a wheat field (it’s an amazing story, tune into hear). After her vision, she said God truly chased her down with signs and nudges on her heart plus experiences that made it beyond clear she had to take action. A lot of Bible studies can turn people off for various reasons. What I love about Laney and “Life in the Wheat Field” is she’s not trying to preach or be perfect. Her only goal is to help as many people as she can live a life of true abundance and see the abundance they have in their life right in front of them.
Cannon McClintock
My God- sister and world renown jewelry designer. Cannon and I have grown up and shared our whole life together. We reminisce about how our parents even let us move to Europe together for a summer to study abroad at Cambridge! We now understand as parents how hard it is to let your children fly without you, but what a blessing that is to give them wings, like our parents did for us. Cannon shares with me what she has learned from raising 3 daughters, how each one she has to parent differently. She also has suffered 2 miscarriages, one being very recent. Cannon expresses how she has found acceptance of the things she cannot understand with faith. She also shares with me how each one of her daughters handled the news and heartbreak completely differently. Cannon has been a high fashion jewelry designer for 20 years. She designed my one of a kind, super unique and stunning engagement ring and wedding bands. She has been featured in top magazines and sold in retail stores across the nation, as well as worn by many celebrities.. she tells me what she has learned from owning her own business, how she has evolved, learned to say NO, finds family-work balance and what she is going for when it comes to a happy life.

Manon Mathews
Viral Vine sensation, Actress, comedian, writer, director, and author. For this comedian and content creator, comedy is life. She has spent years of routinely embarrassing herself, improv classes, some stints as an amateur standup comic with unrelenting dedication. She just wrote a book Funny How it Works Out, sharing her life lessons and story, which recounts her wackiest moments, questionable decisions, lessons learned over the years, romantic tales, and the screenplay that is the story of her whirlwind marriage and divorce in hopes that she can help others find the lessons in their journeys so that they too can grow from their pasts and manifest their best lives. This interview is vulnerable, raw and so heartfelt. I left this interview feeling like had known Manon my whole life. We also talk about how she and Jen Aniston have become BFFs over Instagram.

Rebecca Minkoff
Global fashion mogul talks pivoting her business during COVID, the importance of work-family balance, being inclusive and always following her instincts.
It was a thrill to interview Rebecca. I have been a big fan of her massive brand for years. It was awesome to have the chance to get inside her brain and understand what inspired her to go big for her dream when the odds were against her. Plus learning how she has pivoted her brand to focusing sales online during COVID and ended up having one of the brands most successful years was so inspiring. Instead of feeling defeated with the global shutdown due to corona virus and the impact that had on her business, she charted a new course where she could thrive in this new normal. That’s what really stands out to me about Rebecca. She is a trailblazer. She doesn’t wait or want everything to be perfect, she makes good with all the resources she has and then works her ass off and hires an exceptional team to execute her vision. I love that she believes so much in the team mentality. She knows she can’t do it all; she shared with me about what she looks for when she hires an employee and then how she trusts them to do their job. We also talked about how motherhood has changed her outlook on work and what inspired her to launch her SUPERWOMAN podcast featuring some of the most inspiring women from Katie Couric to Maria Sharapova.
Kady Decker
The Nashville “Purebarre” Queen and trainer to the stars talks about opening her studios before boutique fitness was all the rage 11 years ago, and how her gut instinct has always been her guiding light.
When Kady was only 22 years old she decided to bet on herself and open up a Purbarre franchise in Nashville (purebarre is a type of workout designed to give women their perfect body). She had just graduated college and didn’t have the money to do it so she borrowed it from her parents and her newly signed NFL friend. Kady and I laughed about how naivety is bliss sometimes bc at 22 she was fearless of failure, whereas the older and more jaded we get, it is sometimes hard to take big risks. But Kady went all in and it paid off big time. Her first studio had over 100 people emailing to sign up even before the doors were open. Over 10 years and 7 studios later, Kady tells me what she has learned about being a boss, what’s most important in hiring exceptional employees, how her gut insight is the voice she ALWAYS listens to, plus we talk about her new marriage, baby on the way, and balance.
Curry McDaniel
Founder and Owner of Curry and Co Events talks about her spiritual awakening after her darkest days and how she jumped from from corporate America to owning her own flower and Event company plus navigating racism with 4 boys and a bi-racial marriage.
I met Curry when I was hosting a panel of women, for women, at Collective 615 (all women’s workspace. Curry came in and owned the place. She was funny, bright, so real and honest immediately, talented, and she spoke her vision, journey and faith to the all women audience with her whole heart. This conversation is straight up real talk. Besides talking about her passion for flowers, arrangements, decorating and design (which she is the bomb at all!!), Curry shares with me about her thoughts on divorce and moving into the next chapter of life as a single mother of 4 boys. We talk about how she’s learning to heal her soul and love herself inside and out. She walks me through real fears she faces for herself and her boys by being black. We talk about how she handles heartbreak, sadness, pain, injustice and why she is prioritizing her health and “me” time. We talk about how we have to keep coming back to love, and how God always makes a message from the mess. She shares with me her love of Disney, how she parents each boy differently due to each personality, black joy, and how she is finally realizing her true worth and talents.
Lori McKenna
Hit songwriter discovered by Faith Hill shares the journey of her life through songs.
Lori McKenna has written some of the most important songs in country music like “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town, and “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw. She has won Song of the Year 2 times and Grammys. The thing that is most remarkable about Lori is her ability to see the story and song in everyday living. She sees the beauty in it all and writes it in such a way that makes us feel to our bones and know we are alive. She kept mentioning how lucky she was during this interview... but I think her success in her career and marriage and life is so much more than luck. It’s her perspective and willingness to go all in. Lori is a poet and a truth teller. She’s a mother of 5 kids and a wife to Gene, her sweetheart since they were just kids themselves. Lori has a new album out “Balladeer” and it is a masterpiece, just like all of her other albums. Anyone who knows of Lori and listens to her music and her sing knows she’s got a gift straight from heaven. She’s one of those people who you just know you are in the presence of greatness when you’re around her, yet she doesn’t even realize it. That’s what makes her magic.
Chef Lokelani Alabanza
Telling black history and stories through homemade ice cream.
Lokelani, “Loke” for short, is a chef who has travelled the world learning about how food ties feelings and history together while triggering emotions. Over the past 4 years, she has created over 300 ice cream flavors and has her own brand, Saturated Ice Cream. She recently posted this: “I have a deep fondness for nostalgia, it’s been the most potent ingredient that I use. Nostalgia and ice cream are a stunning combination. Food connects all of us. Don’t ever underestimate its power. Through ice cream, I started a journey into its history. Stepping into a world that I didn’t even know existed.” Loke tells me how influential her grandmother was in teaching her how to cook. She talks about how she is obsessed with finding vintage cookbooks and recreating old recipes into her ice cream. She has a flavor called “Juneteenth” that is “for our past, present and future.” It’s raspberry, hibiscus and lime. The color is red to pay homage to lives lost and blood shed. Loke talks about how we all can positively impact the Black Lives Matter movement by taking inventory of our lives and seeing where we have an outlet to be the change.
Amber Smith
Wife of Country Star, Granger Smith, shares her story of losing their 3 year old son River to a tragic drowning accident.
This interview was emotional, inspiring, gut wrenching, raw and full of faith. No parent should ever have to bury their own child. The pain is too much to bare. Last week marked 1 year since River Kelly tragically died in Amber and Granger Smith’s pool. They had a fence and lock and all the precautions. It just happened so fast and silently. Amber tells me how adventurous River was, how sweet and kind he was; always picking her wild flowers and drying her eyes if she would pretend to be sad. Amber walks through the day the accident happened. She talks about her faith, and how she and Granger and their other 2 kids are still finding joy in life, even though Amber said “she may never be truly happy again.” The amount of strength and courage Amber has to talk about River’s death, to still find beauty in life, to be able to go on and want to help spread awareness to other parents about water safety with children, so no other parent has to experience this heartbreak, is just plain amazing. Amber is a shining light to this world of finding hope in the darkest places and never losing faith in God.
Amara Hall and her mother Norma
Amara Hall joins me again, along with her beautiful mother Norma, talking about systemic racism and their hope for the future. I am so lucky to be best friends with Amara. She is wise, calm, beautiful, thoughtful, talented, grounded in faith and purpose, open and giving, just like her mother. She teaches me so much on a daily basis. But especially during this time where the world is crying out “Black Lives Matter,” it has meant the world to me that she would come on my podcast, now for the 3rd time, and this time join me with her mother Norma, participating in these uncomfortable, heavy conversations about racism. I am NO EXPERT and am very naive in many ways on what the black culture has lived through and what they are currently going through. But I am learning and I can’t just sit on the sidelines. We talked about the movies “Just Mercy,” and “Thirteenth” and their powerful and painful messages. I encourage all my followers to watch those movies. I hope this episode moves you to do better, be better and learn.
Caitlyn Smith
Hit Songwriter, mother, wife and visionary talks about the power of visualization and going with the flow plus her deeply inspired new music. Cautyn is a musical, mystical being. Talking to her feels like a river; she flows; she moves with the current and waves of her life with ease and grace. She’s written for artists from Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers (“You Can’t Make Old Friends”) and Garth Brooks to Meghan Trainor & John Legend (“Like I’m Gonna Lose You”) and James Bay. She just released her sophomore album “Supernova.” The title track was inspired by life moving by so quickly and watching her two young sons grow up before her eyes, and it’s a reminder to all of us to fully live in each moment. She talks to me a lot about how she uses visualization to create a creative life she loves. Caitlyn is a such special soul.
Mid-Week Friend Chat:Jackie Tigue.
Jackie is one of my besties. We are both Texas girls, so there’s that. We met at a Hot Yoga class and hit it off immediately a few years ago. Jackie is a yoga instructor and walked me through some quick breathing exercises that can help us all relax. We recorded this podcast at night so of course we had some wine, I drank mine out of Sunny’s sippy cup #momlife, Jackie was more classy w her Olivia Pope “Scandal” style glass. I love Jackie for so many reasons. A big one being she trusts her intuition and isn’t scared to take huge leaps with her life. Like moving to NYC right after college to live w a family and be their personal assistant after only meeting them once. That takes major guts! We talk about her journey and how life so often takes you places you never can dream of if you just let it happen and don’t resist. Jackie now works at iHeart (Artist Relations) very closely with artists and top executives and told me how important it was to be passionate about the music and the artists, not just see it as a job. Then we reminisced about how the first time she went to the BlueBird cafe Garth Brooks made a surprise appearance.
Mid-Week Mom Chat Podcast: Wynne Elder
I have one of my best childhood/lifelong friends joining me on this episode. Wynne was the reason I started my podcast years ago! I was having a breakdown about what to do in life, and Wynne was the most famous blogger that I knew (wynneelder.com), so I called her and asked her for advice. She told me to start a podcast way before podcasts were all the rage! So thank you Wynne! We talk about her journey to motherhood, infertility, miscarriage, how God put a burning fire in her heart to adopt. We talk about how she and her hubs adopted 2 kids, Asher and Camp, at the same time from Africa when they were 8 months old. We then talk about in vitro and her finally getting pregnant and having her daughter Rivers. She is now pregnant w their last embryo and due in October. Rivers and this new baby girl were conceived together at the same time, frozen together for years, and now will be living together 3 years apart in age this fall. What an incredible journey she has been on! She is completely led by God and it is amazing to hear how her life has unfolded.
Betsy Hobby
I have always been in awe of Betsy. First off she’s a knockout. Then you learn she runs a nationwide glass company, United Glass Services. Then you learn she’s the mother of 5 kids. Then you find out she has lived with type 1 diabetes since she was 17. Then you realize that she is 1 of 13 kids and was raised to grow and hunt her own food and be totally self sufficient, living off their land and animals for a large part of their food as a child. Then she tells you she was a single mom of 2 boys under 3 when she was in her early 20’s. Finally you show up at her house, where she lives with her husband Landon (my hubby’s brother) and it’s paradise. 5 acres, a pool, 4 wheelers, bikes, a pond, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and so much life and love happening around you that can’t help but feel so good and alive and just “in it.” She’s built an incredible life. Betsy is not a victim ever. She takes every experience and turns it into a launching pad. I love this conversation so much and I am so inspired by my sis-in law.
Cassie DiLaura
Entertainment Tonight Online Host talks perseverance, her faith in God (and her mama)and what it feels like to live your dream.
At 27 years old, Cassie has already established herself as a top entertainment host in the industry. It is no fluke that she is working for ET Online and interviewing all the A List stars from Garth Brooks to Billie Eilish. She went to college and studied journalism and immediately hit the pavement hustling and honing her craft as an entertainment reporter at several news outlets until landing her dream job at Entertainment Tonight Online recently. But it has not been an easy road. Cassie got choked up when she talked about the sacrifices she has made pursuing this dream, including rarely seeing her family and putting her love life on hold. But she has no complaints and is super grateful for all she has accomplished and the life she lives. She loves her mama more than anything, lets God guide her life, and wants to use her platform to change the world for the better. She’s not just completely stunning on the outside, but truly her heart is pure gold.

Mid-Week Mom Chat:Catherine Powers
This week I curl up on the bed with my beautiful, smart, wise and steadfast sister. We have been quarantining in Texas together on our family farm, and it has truly been an amazing opportunity to share life together w our husbands and daughters these past couple weeks. Seeing Sunny look up to and love her older cousin Genevieve has been Precious. And G is a lil mama. Cat has always been my safe place. She is the person who always knows what is the right next thing to do. She is morally so good and pure. She wants her people to be happy. She wants to be happy. She is incredible at problem solving and making stuff happen, like super fast. She has done a lot of work on herself to become her best self so she can live her best life and bless all those around her. One of my favorite mottos that she lives by is “if it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no.” Cat is super intentional about putting family first and making life fun. She always is deeply rooted in her faith and that is her guiding light. She talks about why telling the truth to your children about everything is so important as well as how she keeps a happy home.

Grammy and Oscar nominated singer for “Soft Place to Fall” talks about her musical life and family, and why it was finally time for her to write the very personal book “Blood” and companion album about the murder/suicide of her parents. Allison has a depth to her that feels like the ocean, and you feel it immediately when you’re in her presence. She’s feels classic like Nicole Kidman meets Kate Winslet and throw in a touch of Joni Mitchell. There’s a confident quietness to her until she is engaged in conversation... then she speaks and all you want to do is listen. I met her at an eclectic dinner party hosted by a fabulous interior Photographer, Alyssa Rosenheck. I was moved by everything Allison spoke about; from how she just published a book and album called “Blood” on the murder-suicide of her parents, and how she and her sister, Grammy winner Shelby Lynne, became each other’s rock and “nightlights,” as one of the tracks on her new album sings about. She also talked about the trials and triumphs of raising a non-verbal ten year old with autism. Allison says God gives us the child we need. She is so tuned into her spiritual being. We talk about what it felt like to be nominated for an Oscar and a Grammy and playing the Oscars. This interview hits every nerve. Allison is so transparent and honest. I love this conversation, and I feel honored to know Allison.

Sharron Cutbirth (My Mom)
This episode is PACKED w truth bombs. My mom and I get real about her childhood, getting married at age 19, and what shaped her into the philosophical mind that she is today. My mom is wise. She is beautiful. She is never quick to anger or assumptions. She gives people the benefit of the doubt and she ALWAYS assumes the best in people. She CHOOSES to see the good in the world. She CHOOSES to be open minded and non-judgmental. She loves to learn and expand her mind through art, travel, people, books, philosophy, nature, and the life experience in general. I look up to her so much. As a child she never yelled at us, she always would sit us down and have a conversation about right and wrong and she would let us use our own minds to figure out why we should or shouldn’t do something. The older I get the more I adore the woman my mom has chosen to be. I say “chosen” bc I realize that we get to choose how we respond to life’s circumstances that are put on our path. My mom has always chosen to embrace her journey, learn from the heartaches, and never play a victim. This conversation is full of wisdom and grace from my mother.
GiGi Butler
How she went from cleaning Taylor Swift’s toilet to owning a multi million dollar cupcake company, GiGi’s Cupcakes. Being around GiGi truly feels as sweet, magical and light hearted as walking into her world famous cupcake store, GiGi’s. She is fearless. She does what it takes to move herself forward and she is not afraid of risking it all for a dream. Failure is not even something she worries about, because she always knows God is guiding her and something else will be around the corner if a door closes in her face. GiGi’s first business was a cleaning company that she took Nashville when she moved to pursue her dream of singing country music. She tells an amazing story of how she found herself in the house of young Taylor Swift, cleaning her toilet while she was singing “teardrops on my guitar,” before Taylor had become a star. At that moment GiGi decided her dream of being a country music star was over. I love that GiGi preaches a message we don’t hear too often “that there are times in life where you have to let your dreams die in order to realize what you’re really meant to create.” GiGi is an author, she has been on “Undercover Boss,” she has given a TED Talk, and speaks her story and inspires others all over the country.

Mama Karen Parker
Mama Karen is mom to 3 beautiful kids, one of them being my good friend Jessie James Decker who makes an appearance on this podcast w her daughter Vivi... Jessie shares one of her favorite childhood stories about her mama. Karen is so wise and so kind. That’s something I really took away from this interview was her sincere heart. She loves so purely and believes that anything is possible if you can see it, you can achieve it. She became a QVC host after working her way up from the front desk bc she knew she could do it. That’s how she is with her kids too, I remember Jessie saying in my interview with her that Mama Karen never thought any of Jessie’s dreams to become a singer were out of reach and she would take her all over the place so she could perform at a young age. Karen also believes in romance and gives some excellent tips to keeping the spark alive in your marriage plus she talks about her cookbooks and novel that is in the works!

But then her client insisted she meet this Country Cowboy Jon Pardi (her client is best friends with Jon’s mom and they arranged the setup). Their first date was Jon flying Summer to Colorado for a weekend of his shows. It could have ended in disaster but instead led to love. We talk about how Summer let go of control and learned to let her life flow which has led her to so much fun and fulfillment, the biggest fight she and Jon have ever had, over Christmas decorations, and the sentimental side of Jon.
Laney Hayes
This is a powerful episode. Laney and Country singer Walker Hayes are high school sweethearts. They fell in love at age 17 after breaking into a construction site and talking all night, then reciting lines from their school play to each other and Walker finally going in for the kiss. They are incredible parents to 6 kids, and make it a point to have open communication about everything. They also have a family tradition of eating pounds of bacon when Walker comes in off the road. Laney gets real with me about the grief and tragedy of losing their 7th child, Oakleigh, in labor while Laney almost died delivering her. She and Walker feel very passionately about using their journey of loss to help others. There are tears and very raw emotions in this episode. I thank Laney for her bravery and willingness to share about this incredibly sensitive, painful topic and use it for healing.

Brittney Kelley
Brittney Kelley is the definition of how love, light, dreams and positivity can can turn the darkest times into inspiration, drive and a thriving life and marriage. At 17 years old, Brittney suffered great loss with the murder of her grandmother who raised her. She was forced to grow up and learn how to be resilient and self motived at a very young age. She surrounded herself with people who lifted and pushed her to never settle for less than she was worth. In college she was on the fast track to becoming an accountant (she got all A's), when she felt a calling to switch to psychology and truly dive into understanding people and sharing her story. Brittney has always had the confidence to follow where her heart guides her, even if it's scary.
